Yesterday afternoon the Public Works Department relocated the Christophe Le Canne 'ghost bike' just a few yards away from the Bear Cut Bridge, if you recall the memorial was removed from the bridge in early February. I think the new location is ideal and hopefully everyone is pleased with it. The bike was placed up high on a post with some mulch spread around it, I commend PWD for the nice work.
Thanks to the PWD Rickenbacker Causeway Division for reaching out to the cycling community and handling this with care, I encourage those who complained to thank PWD for their efforts by calling (305) 361-2833 or sending them an email. Cyclists and recreational users of the Rickenbacker voiced their opinions and the Department of Public Works responded accordingly.

I want to remind everyone that the annual Ride of Silence is on Wednesday, May 19th 2010. The ride's aim is to honor cyclists lost or injured due to motorists, it also promotes Share The Road.
Meet at 6:30pm at the west parking lot of Miami Seaquarium.
