Race #2 of the "Metro Series". Similar to last month the race will begin at a designated metrorail station and end at the BAR.

This race is approximately 5.7 miles.
Winner gets $50 bar tab.
$2 beers for all cyclists.
Prize will be split between 1st road bike & 1st fixed gear bike. If overall 1st is fixed gear they win full $50 bar tab. If 1st road bike is not 1st place they win nothing.
Lights & helmets strongly encouraged.
i think the prize shouldnt be alcohol for the most part cuz minors go to this and they can't drink it can still be kept in the $50 range
ReplyDeleteLoose Cannons was never intended for minors. Since it's inception it has always ended at a bar. That was the organizers sole intention, to get his friends to ride bike to a bar. The race is 18+ and if the winner is not 21+ they don't get a prize, usually leaving the tab to someone else.
ReplyDeleteThese races are done mostly for fun. The bar tab is not the reason anybody participates. It's a late night unsanctioned race throughout the city, if your main concern for minors is the prize then we do not see this issue the same way.
