4pm
Back by popular demand, this time around in celebration of Oktoberfest! The bicycle pub crawl will be very similar to the one held earlier this year, the only significant difference is that we will not be riding to S. Miami and shall remain in downtown instead.
We'll be starting off at Zeke's at 4pm where all beers are just $4! We'll then make a stop at The Abbey, The Filling Station, and finally The DRB. The pub crawl conveniently ends near the Adrienne Arsht Center Station Metromover Station in Downtown Miami for those who wish to take the train back home vs riding.
Remember to bring a bicycle lock. A light is also recommended since it'll be dusk by the time we leave the last bar. The pub crawl should be over by 8:30pm. Cyclists ride at their own risk and assume responsibility for their own safety!
Please remember to DRINK RESPONSIBLY, obey all traffic laws and be courteous to others. This is not a Critical Mass ride and there will be no corking. We welcome you to come out have a good time, meet new cyclists and most importantly to ride safely. 21+

ReplyDeleteSnobbed.
ReplyDeleteI think that's a ridiculously terrible idea. People like me, who cycle every single day as a part of their job spend countless days and nights fighting to be recognized as a legitimate members of daily traffic. Through this battle bicycles have been labeled as 'vehicles' and we, as cyclists, are expected to obey ALL traffic laws. Albeit many people skim through red lights, don't always use lights, don't signal their turns, etc. And yes, we can get ticketed for all of these infractions. However, it is most definitely stupid to ride your bike drunk. You can most certainly get a DUI while riding a bike since it is a 'vehicle'. And your ignorant stunt of a pub crawl only begs lawmakers to revoke the rights us serious cyclists have worked so hard for.
ReplyDeleteShame on you.
: )
