7:30pm - 9:30pm
Sandbar (Coconut Grove)
3064 Grand Avenue
Miami, FL 33133
"Do you want to learn more about the North Point trails on Virginia Key? When will they be open to the public? Maybe you want to race cyclocross? Is the Virginia Key Bicycle Club going to be a real club with dues, etc? How does the club get funds for tools and stuff. Would you like to volunteer to either build trails or put on a race? Or maybe you just want to eat a burger and drink beer. Regardless of your motivation, come to Sandbar this Thursday at 7:30pm" - John Voss
If you're into MTBing I recommend joining the group and volunteering. If you live in Miami-Dade the closest MTB trails we have to us are Amelia Earhart Park (Hialeah), Oleta River Park (North Miami) and Markum Park (Sunrise). It would be really great to finish this project on Virginia Key as soon as possible so everyone can enjoy trails overlooking Downtown Miami, Fisher Island and South Beach.
Check out the video below of the volunteers and the progress made thus far.
Note: The trails are currently not open to the public, trespassers will be prosecuted.
