An estimated 50 racers came out to the Loose Cannons 3-Yr Anniversary Race last Thursday night and battled the brutal head wind. The race started at MIA Skate Shop and ended at the bicycle friendly BAR. Racers were required to stop at a designated check point and asked to drink from a bottle of Prosecco and do ten push ups. The first 40 racers to reach the check point received a celeste Ferny "Lancito" Heria Jr commemorative spoke card, Loose Cannons was his favorite race so we wanted to pay tribute to him on the first race without him.

Ferny's relatives attended the event and gave a few participants and friends Bianchi Celeste cycling caps, this was very nice of them and it was really great seeing them take part in something which was very dear to him.

I would like to thank everyone who participated and to congratulate Joel from Sun Cycling Center on getting 1st place! It's only right that the winner of the race was riding a Bianchi Pista similar to Ferny's and sporting celeste cycling sunglasses.

Checkout the video which captures the pandemonium at the check point.

Special thanks to Joel Meinholz of IAmYourVillain for starting this race three years ago.
