The new West Kendall Transit Terminal, located at 9155 SW 162 Ave, opens this Sunday, February 27th. The terminal is just west of The Hammocks and across the street from the new West Kendall Baptist Hospital. It includes a Park & Ride lot for passenger convenience and bike lanes for bicycle commuters.

The bike lanes are on the following roads:

SW 158th Ave, between Kendall Dr and SW 96th St
Private Dr, between SW 158th Ave and SW 162nd Ave
SW 162nd Ave/Ct, between Kendall Dr and SW 96th St
SW 96th St, between 152nd Ave and 162nd Ave

The future town center and hospital will soon make this a very busy area, the bike lanes are a positive asset. Overall the various lanes seemed adequate, however SW 158th Ave in particular was a mess with improper markings and signage. (see photos)
