Last week I received an email from a reader who wished to share his Craigslist "Missed Connection" story and the interesting events that followed. Below is a summary in his own words.

"Hello,
As a fellow bike enthusiast and one who enjoys that your site brings so much of us together.... i was compelled to share this with you.

What was an earnest post about the creativity and joy in seeing some mysterious girl on a dolphin shaped bicycled on what would have been another mundane day

.... then some timed passed and this was received.

perhaps you or those in your community can share this in a (vain) attempt to deliver what was a cathartic message to tell those who would read it
(if not legitimize) the freedom we all feel on two wheels." - m

Understand everything thus far? I'll help fill in the blanks and add a few more details.

Two weeks after the classified was posted, local blog Beached Miami published one of Robby Campbell's illustrations from his ongoing MMC series based on real postings to the Missed Connections section of Craigslist Miami.

Here's where it gets really bizarre.

A few more weeks pass and Beached Miami fortuitously photograph the "Dolphin Bike Girl" at the last Friday of the month Miami Critical Mass. You really can't make this stuff up.

I encourage you to share this story with your friends, hopefully it will bring a smile to their faces whether on two wheels or not.

Congrats to Beached Miami on recently winning Miami New Times Best Of Award.
