"The Mayor's challenge for Safer People, Safer Streets is a call to action by the U.S. Department of Transportation, Secretary Foxx, for Mayors and local elected officials to take significant action to improve safety for bicycle riders of all ages and abilities.

Mayor Levine has accepted the challenge!

Cities partaking in this challenge win by improving biking that contributes to the health, safety, environmental, transportation and quality of life for all of its community members.

The ride will start and end at City Hall. Everyone is invited to attend this 4.7 mile ride, the ride will be police escorted."

Citi Bike will be offering a limited number of bikes for free on a first-come-first-serve basis foe the event.
