Explore Miami with Dade Heritage Trust Bike Tours!

In 2023, Dade Heritage Trust is proudly partnering with Bike Walk Coral Gables, the Friends of The Underline and the Friends of The Commodore Trail for bike tours throughout our community. All tours start at 10am at with a variety of meeting points explained in the information for each tour. Dade Heritage Trust does not provide bikes. Riders must bring their own bikes or rent a Citibike nearby. Riders must be experienced and confident enough to navigate urban Miami streets.

Sunday, January 15: Overtown/ MLK Ride
Dade Heritage Trust and the Friends of The Underline guide participants through Overtown, on of Miami’s most historic areas. Traditionally an African American neighborhood, Overtown is filled with historic venues that help tell the story of Miami and segregation. Churches, museums, theaters and historic homes are all highlighted on this great ride. Meet at the Brickell Backyard at The Underline and SW 10 Street. Sunday, February 19: Capture Coral Gables
Capture Coral Gables is the Coral Gables Museum's annual photo contest for local photographers who focus on the city and its inhabitants as inspiration and subject matter. This tour will visit scenic sites to help you shoot an entry for this year's competition. Tour starts at the Coral Gables Museum, 285 Aragon Avenue. Sunday, March 26: Miami Music Week/ Ride through Wynwood/Murals

Sunday, April 16: Bike and BBQ
Join us for the most popular bike tour of the year: a ride to Matheson Hammock Park and picnic at the historic pavilion with great food and live music, too! Sunday, May 21: Montgomery Botanical Center
The MBC is a research center and lush garden of international palms and cycads located in Coral Gables. Bring your family and come see the full Monty. Sunday, June 18 11: Royal Poinciana Tour
Celebrate the magnificent Flame Tree on this tour of our best Royal Poincianas in full flower. Sunday, August 20: Phineas Paist Tour
Phineas Paist (1873-1937) was the supervising architect for the Coral Gables Corporation. His buildings include City Hall, the Venetian Pool, the Colonnade Building, and the San Sebastian Apartment Hotel. His work is part of the glue that holds the image of Coral Gables together. It's no fiction, the literary history of Coral Gables includes book shops, libraries and even a few writers.
