"Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces celebrates Bike305 month March by hosting the 12th Annual Bike305 Bike to Work Day event on March 7 demonstrating to residents how to ride a bicycle to work, school and fun destinations for a healthy way to get around and avoid traffic congestion.

Mayor Cava will lead the bike ride from Miami Beach to the Stephen P. Clark Center, along with Miami-Dade County Parks Director Maria I. Nardi, county commissioners, municipal mayors and other elected officials, and transportation agency chiefs escorted by police from the City of Miami Beach.

This year’s ride will showcase Miami-Dade’s top cycling infrastructure, featuring the picturesque Beachwalk, vibrant green bike lanes on Miami Beach, and the separated bike lanes along the Venetian Causeway, which offer stunning views of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Additionally, the City of Miami Beach will be honored as the 2024 Bike305 Municipality of the Year during the closing ceremony at Government Center. Miami Beach has long been a leader in creating safe, accessible cycling infrastructure, promoting cycling for both residents and visitors.

Cyclists of all levels are invited to join this relaxed-paced ride, which will depart from Miami Beach City Hall at 7:15 a.m. To make it easier for participants, complimentary shuttles and bike transport will be provided from Government Center back to Miami Beach.

The event is proudly sponsored by AvMed, and Dr. Barry Burak & Affiliated Healthcare Centers will be providing a bagel breakfast at the conclusion of the ride.

Bike305, a Miami-Dade Parks initiative, is dedicated to inspiring the community to embrace cycling as a fun, healthy, and eco-friendly alternative to driving. The program promotes the Joy of Cycling throughout Florida Bike Month in March, offering community rides, free helmet giveaways and educational programs."
